The best train in Japan: Mizukaze, the ultimate dream of railroad fans

The ultimate dream of Mizukaze Railway fans, the best train in Japan.
While the Shikishima trains in the eastern Japan area are attractive, the luxury trains connecting the western Japan area are also attracting attention.

The Mizukaze connects Osaka Prefecture and Yamaguchi Prefecture. It takes you to Kyoto, Matsue, Izumo, and Miyajima, and offers beautiful views of the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea.
[Shining Debut.]
The Mizukaze began service in June 2017. It is the "Akebono" limited express between Osaka and Sapporo and has been in service for 25 years. The golden "M" LOGO is from the mountains along the way, after the initials of the English letters have been transformed. Angels on both sides blow departure horns.

Kazuya Ura, a leading Japanese architect, and Tetsuo Fukuda, an industrial designer, collaborated to create the green car body. The gold lines and logo express a retro and nostalgic style.
Staff uniforms are by fashion designer Yoshie Inaba. The trains are a combination of green and black, with elegant embellishments based on meeting functionality.

Taro Hakase, who stood on the same stage with Celine Dion, accompanied the train that played beautiful music of mountains, rivers, lakes, and the sea with his violin.
[moving castle]
The 10-car train is decorated with Showa-era interior and traditional handicrafts from all over Japan are displayed along the way. Encounter the romance of western Japan at the moving castle
The 1/10 is the first and last observation car, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows for unobstructed views of the beautiful scenery along the line.
Lounge No. 5 has a bar, tables, and chairs where you can enjoy a tipsy chat as well as participate in train activities such as tea parties and concerts.

Car 6 uses fresh ingredients from along the train line, and top Japanese chef Takeshi Kadokami and several Michelin chefs will convey the appeal of food.
[Royal Room]
The train has 16 guest rooms, divided into royal single rooms, double rooms, and suites.
The suite is exclusively for car 7, has 35 square meters, and includes a living room, dining room, bedroom, marble bathroom, and soaking tub.
