Japan's best train: the Mizukaze, the ultimate dream of railway fans.

Japan's best train Mizukaze - the ultimate dream of railway fans.
While the Shikishima trains in the eastern Japan area are attractive, the luxury trains linking the western Japan area are also attracting attention.

The Mizukaze connects Osaka and Yamaguchi Prefectures. It takes you to Kyoto, Matsue, Izumo and Miyajima, and offers beautiful views of the Sea of Japan and the Seto Inland Sea.
[Shining debut].
The Mizukaze started operating in June 2017. It is the Akebono limited express between Osaka and Sapporo and has a 25-year history. The golden "M" LOGO is from the mountains on the way, after the initials of the English letters have been transformed. Angels on both sides blow departure horns.

Leading Japanese architect Kazuya Ura and industrial designer Tetsuo Fukuda worked together to create the green car body. The gold lines and logo express a retro, nostalgic style.
The staff uniforms are by fashion designer Yoshie Inaba. The trains are a combination of green and black, with elegant embellishments based on meeting functionality.

Taro Hakase, who performed on the same stage with Celine Dion, accompanied the train with beautiful music of mountains, rivers, lakes and the sea on his violin.
[Moving castle].
The 10-car train has a Showa-era interior and traditional handicrafts from all over the country are displayed along the way. Encounter the romance of western Japan in a moving castle.
The 1/10 is the first and last observation car, with floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows for unobstructed views of the beautiful scenery along the line.
Lounge 5 has a bar, tables and chairs where you can get tipsy and chat, as well as take part in train activities such as tea parties and concerts.

Car 6 uses fresh ingredients from the railway line, and top Japanese chef Takeshi Kadokami and several Michelin chefs convey the appeal of the food.
[Royal Room].
The train has 16 rooms, divided into royal single rooms, double rooms and suites.
The suites are exclusively for car 7 and measure 35 m², with a living room, dining room, bedroom, marble bathroom and bathtub.

Cars 2/3/4/8/9 have 13 double rooms and 2 single rooms.
